A graveside service for Mrs. Mildred H. "Happy" Pitmon, 91, of 8515 123 rd E. Ave., Owasso, Okla., will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Patton Cemetery, LaPorte, with Rev. Douglas Hadley officiating. She died Saturday, Sept. 11, 2004, at 3:50 a.m., at Sequoyah Pointe Living Center, Owasso. Friends may call Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. at Haverstock Funeral Home, LaPorte. She was born April 25, 1913, in LaPorte to Roy L. and Ruth Evenberg Cook, and had lived in Bixby Okla., since she and her husband Leonard retired there in 1971. Mrs. Pitmon was a homemaker. Her nickname "Happy" reflected her personality and she will be missed by all who knew her. In 1931, she married John Davisson, who preceded her in death. In 1951, she married Leonard Pitmon, who died in 1978. Also preceding her in death were her parents and two brothers, Richard and Robert K. Cook. Surviving are one daughter, Nancy Davisson Gleissner of Owasso; two sons, Richard Davisson of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Wayne Davisson of Arlington Heights, Ill.; two stepsons, William of Bend, Ore., and Raymond of LaPorte; and one sister, Naomi Overton of Tulsa, Okla.
