Mildred Ohime

Mildred V. Ohime February 26, 1919-February 25, 2017 Miss Mildred V. Ohime, 97, of LaPorte, Indiana, passed away Saturday February 25, 2017 at Golden Living Center-Countryside in LaPorte, IN. She was born February 26, 1919 in La Porte, Indiana, the daughter of Otto Ohime and Gertrude (Hitz) Ohime. She was a member of the St. Paul's United Church of Christ and a memeber of the Women Guild of the Church. She was retired sales clerk for J.C. Penney's for over 50 years. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. Mildred was preceded in death by her 3 sisters, Edith Wakeman, Arlene Frobes, Florence Ohime and 5 brothers, Clarence Ohime, Harry Ohime, Herbert Ohime, Robert Ohime, and William Ohime. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Tuesday, February 28, 2017, 9:00 am - 11:00 am. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Tuesday February 28, 2017 at 11:00 am with Rev. Victor Frohne officiating.
