Mildred Lawson

Mrs. Mildred Marie "Millie" Lawson, age 80, of La Porte, Ind., died Saturday, November 15, 2008, at St. Anthony Hospital in Michigan City, Ind. She was born December 29, 1927 in North Liberty, Ind. to the late Harvey Kellogg and the late Mabel Dunken Kellogg. Mrs. Lawson was Self-employed and was a member of Agape Christian Church. She is survived by her Three Sons, Ronnie L. Mary Sellers of Three Oaks, Mich., Gerald J. Rachel Sellers of Las Vegas, Nev., Samuel M. Liz Sellers of Georgia; Six grandchildren; Eight great-grandchildren; One Sister, Violet Bair of La Porte, Ind.; One Brother, Harold "Bud" Ima Jean Kellogg of Hamlet, Ind.; several Nieces and Nephews and her very close friends Jonie and Phyllis. She is preceded in death by her Parents, and One Sister, Ruth Ann Stachowski. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday, November 18, 2008 and from 9:00 AM Wednesday until time of the service. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 10:00 AM Wednesday, November 19, 2008, with Pastor Kay Coggins officiating. Cremation will follow and Interment of ashes will be at Salem Cemetery in La Porte, Ind. at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Hospice of LaPorte Co.
