Mildred Clifton

Mrs. Mildred G. Clifton, 72, of New Carlisle, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday November 23, 2010 at Hamilton Communities, Inc. in New Carlisle, IN. She was born March 21, 1938 in Baltimore, Maryland, the daughter of William Pagen and Lydia Marshall Pagen. Mildred had worked for the Autolite Corp., American Home Foods and Kenco Plastics. She was a member of House of Praise Church of Kingsford Heights. On April 22, 1961, in Lakeville, IN, she married Howard Clifton who preceded her in death September 13, 1999. She is survived by her two sons, Howard Debra Clifton of Wanatah, IN, Michael J. Clifton of La Porte, IN; six grandchildren; one great grandchild; three sisters - Ruth Henry Ploeger of Independence, MO., Betty Don McCormick of Port Huron, MI and Lillian Jamison of TN. Mildred was preceded in death by her father, mother, step-father Michael Mayer, husband, and one daughter, Terri Clifton; brother, Michael Mayer, and brother-in-law, Gary Jamison. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Monday, November 29, 2010 from 11:00 am, until time of service. Services will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Monday November 29, 2010 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Margaret Hunt, and Pastor David Adams officiating.
