Miguel Diaz February 25, 1962-October 14, 2018 Miguel Diaz, 56, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Sunday, October 14, 2018 at his home in La Porte, Indiana. He was born February 25, 1962 in Colotlan Jalisco, Mexico, the son of Salvador Diaz Torres and Hermelinda Huizar Gutierrez. Miguel had a passion for cooking, working, and helping the community and church back in his hometown in Mexico. He was always happy to extend his hand to help everyone. Miguel loved and enjoyed spending time with his family. His wife was his world and loved her so very much. On October 18, 1980, he married Martina Del Real Diaz who survives in La Porte, Indiana. He is also survived by his two sons, Juaquin (Sarahi) Diaz of La Porte, IN, Rigoberto (Jessica Rosales) Diaz; four daughters, Ana (Juan) Garcia of La Porte, IN, Luz Elva (Manuel) Osornio, Luz Mirella (Carlos) Silva, Claudia (German) Sanchez; twelve grandchildren, Jasmine Diaz, Riboberto Jr. Diaz, Adrian Diaz, Adan Diaz, Leslie Garcia, Juan Garcia, Jr., Antonio Osornio, Jr., Luis Osornio, Ricardo Osornio, Alyna Silva, Valeria Silva, Melanie Sanchez; seven brothers, Gerardo Diaz, Agustin Diaz, Juan Diaz, Lorenzo Diaz, Adalberto Diaz, Abelino Diaz, Ubaldo Diaz; four sisters, Maria Del Refugio Diaz, Altagracia Diaz, Graciela Diaz, Maria Del Refugio Diaz. Miguel was preceded in death by both his parents. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, Indiana where the family will receive friends Friday, October 19, 2018, 3:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. A Rosary service will take place on Friday, October 19, 2018 at 5:00 pm. Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 109 C St., La Porte, Indiana, Saturday October 20, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. William O'Tool officiating.
