Michael Stone

Mr. Michael David Stone, age 53, of Star City, Ind., formerly of LaPorte, Ind., died Monday, November 3, 2008, at Pulaski Memorial Hospital in Winamac, Ind. He was born on August 2, 1955 in LaPorte, Ind. to the late Gordon Stone and Mary Alice Knoll Stone of LaPorte, Ind. Mr. Stone was retired from the US Military and was a member of Union Mills Baptist Church. He was involved in his church, and he was very family orientated. Michael loved his family and friends On July 18, 1987 in Michigan City, Ind, he married Dianna Woudema, who survives. He is survived by his Wife; Dianna Stone of Star City, Ind.; Mother, Mary Alice Stone of LaPorte, Ind.; Three Daughters, Kristina Yacconi of La Porte, Ind., Michelle Josh Wyse of La Porte, Ind., Susan Stone of La Porte, Ind.; Three Sons, David Melissa Stone of La Porte, Ind., Josh Stone of La Porte, Ind., Curtis Reutebuch of La Porte, Ind.; Ten grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his Father; Mr. Gordon Stone Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, November 5, 2008 and from 9:00 AM Thursday, November 6, 2008, until time of service. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 11:00 AM Thursday, November 6, 2008, Rev. Robert Read, officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Lake Cemetery in LaPorte, Ind.
