Michael Hutchinson

Mr. Michael D. Hutchinson, age 53, of South Bend, Ind. formerly of LaPorte, Ind., died 8:30 AM Thursday, August 17, 2006, at Healthwin Specialized Care Facility in South Bend, Ind. He was born August 31, 1952 in LaPorte, Ind. to the late Harold Hutchinson and Kathryn Barnesdale Hutchinson. Mr. Hutchinson was employed by US Postal Service for 6 years and took a medical separation in 1991. He was a Veteran of US Air Force during the Vietnam Era, serving for ten years. He was a Member of Postal Workers Union, enjoyed Jazz music, played drums, liked to ride motorcycles in his younger years, and enjoyed traveling. He is survived by his One Daughter, Mrs. Katie Ben Kersey of Shelbyville, Ind.; One Son, Michael Paul Amanda Hutchinson of South Bend, Ind.; Two Grandchildren, Ethan Hutchinson of South Bend, Ind., Abby Hutchinson of South Bend, Ind.; Five Sisters, Pamela Hutchinson of Lenox Twp., Mich., Judith Michael Lindsey of La Porte, Ind., Karen Patrick Abiney of La Porte, Ind., Peg Minnick of La Porte, Ind., Kelly Michael Lawrence of La Porte, Ind.; Four Brothers, Donald Hutchinson of La Porte, Ind., Thomas Hutchinson of La Porte, Ind., Robert Hutchinson of La Porte, Ind., John Gail Hutchinson of Michigan City, Ind. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM Sunday, August 20, 2006. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 3:00 PM Sunday, August 20, 2006, Rev. Ian Williams officiating. Interment will be at Springville Cemetery in LaPorte, Ind. Military Honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post #83 and V.F.W.
