Melvin Cobb

Mr. Melvin L. Cobb, 60 of 244 Hadley Rd. Kingsford Heights, Indiana died Friday, January 14, 2005 at LaPorte Hospital. Mr. Cobb was born April 26, 1944 in LaPorte, Indiana, to Luther A. and Katie Tipton Cobb, who has proceeded. Also preceded is a brother, Mr. Marcel Cobb. Mr. Cobb has lived all his life in the Kingsford Heights, Indiana area. Mr. Cobb worked at Berkel Corp. as a laborer. Mr. Cobb was a member of the First Baptist Church of Kingsford Heights, and of American Legion Post of Kingsford Heights, Veteran of US Air Force, during Vietnam, Steel workers Union-Glendale, Illinois, he enjoyed playing cards, and playing pool, and he enjoyed watching sports on TV. Surviving are two brother?s, Mr. Ronald Carolyn Cobb of Kansas City, MO, Mr. Mitchell Cobb of Kingsford Heights, IN, four sister?s, Mrs. Evelyn Ballinger of Kingsford Heights, IN, Mrs. Jeraldine Latham of Wappingers Falls, NY, Mrs. Charlene William Olds of Chicago, IL, Mrs. Mary Fisher of San Diego, CA, Mr. Cobb has several Nieces and Nephews. The Funeral will be Saturday January 22, 2005 at 12:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Kingsford Heights, with Rev. John Talley officiating. Visitation will be at the First Baptist Church of Kingsford Heights from 11:00 AM Saturday, January 22, 2005 until time of service. Military Honors will be conducted by the American Legion of Kingsford Heights at the First Baptist Church of Kingsford Heights.
