Maxine Worthington

Mrs. Maxine E. Harness Worthington, age 87, of North Liberty, IN, died Tuesday, October 11, 2005, at her Daughters Residence in Plymouth, IN. She was born July 3, 1918 in Mill Creek, Indiana, to Elbert Harness and Golda Mae Reed Harness, who has preceded. Mrs. Worthington lived most of her life in the North Liberty, IN, area. On June 26, 1940 in Summitville, Indiana, she was married to Wesley W. Worthington, who preceded, December 28, 1996. Mrs. Worthington was a Housewife/Homemaker, and was a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. Worthington gave piano lessons for years, was an organist for the Mill Creek Baptist Church for 60 years. She played piano with the Good Timer's for a number of years. Surviving is a Daughter, Mrs. Beverly James Ruggles of Plymouth, IN, One grandson, James Worthington of Plymouth, IN, Mrs. Worthington has several Nieces, Nephews and Friends. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN, where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, October 13, 2005, and Friday, October14, 2005 from 12:00 PM until time of service. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Friday, October 14, 2005 , with Rev. Ronald Devenport officiating. Interment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Mill Creek, IN.
