Maxine Scott

Maxine C. Kirkham Scott, age 88, of La Porte, IN, died Thursday, November 2, 2006, at Fountainview Terrace in LaPorte, IN. She was born March 18, 1918, in LaPorte, IN to Edward Kirkham and Belle Smith Kirkham, who has preceded. Also preceded in death is her Husband, Mr. Floyd E. Scott, one sister, six brothers. Mrs. Scott was a life-long resident of LaPorte County. She was married to Floyd E. Scott, who preceded, January 1, 1976. Mrs. Scott was employed by LaPorte Bank & Trust for 37 years, as a Bookkeeper and was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ. She was also a member of Pine Lake Grange. Surviving is her One Daughter, Mrs. Lorena Scott Ritter of La Porte, IN, Three grandchildren, George Ritter, of LaPorte, IN, Gary Ritter, of LaPorte, IN, Gayle Hill, of LaPorte, IN, and Mrs. Scott has Four great-grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN, where the family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM Sunday, November 5, 2006, and from 9:00 AM Monday November 6, 2006 until time of service. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 11:00 AM Monday, November 6, 2006 , with Rev. Helen Nusbaum officiating. Interment will be at Pine Lake Cemetery in LaPorte, IN.
