Max Borntrager

Mr. Max E. Borntrager, age 74, of La Porte, Ind., died 11:30 PM Saturday, October 20, 2007, at LaPorte Hospital in LaPorte, Ind. He was born December 13, 1932 in Rensselaer, Ind. to the late Alvin Borntrager and the late Genevieve Ream Borntrager. He has lived in the LaPorte area since 1955 coming from Rensselaer, Ind. Mr. Borntrager was employed by C. F. Emery; he had also worked at Teledyne Casting Service and owned Freeway Gras Station in New Carlisle, Ind. He enjoyed golfing at the Beechwood Golf Course. He was on the Senior Golf League at Beechwood Golf Course; he also golfed at Legacy Hills Golf Course. He was a NASCAR fan, and was a good mechanic and was always working on cars. In 1951 in Rensselaer, Ind. he married Marietta Angeledes who survives. He is also survived by his Daughter, Mrs. Barbara Davis of Georgetown, Texas; Two Sons, Mr. James Borntrager of La Porte, Ind., Mr. Michael E. Kathy Borntrager of Pahrump, Nev.; Six grandchildren James Borntrager, Seth Olshan, Ryan Olshan, Robert J. Borntrager, John Davis, David Davis; Three great-grandchildren; and One Brother, Mr. Maurice Adams of La Porte, Ind. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, October 25, 2007. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 1:00 PM Friday, October 26, 2007, Rev. Ted Nordquist officiating. Interment will be at Rolling Prairie Cemetery in Rolling Prairie, Ind.
