Matilda Snider

Matilda J. Snider June 1, 1937-July 17, 2015 Mrs. Matilda J. Snider, 78, of Hamlet, Indiana, died Friday July 17, 2015 at Golden Living Center-Countryside in LaPorte, IN. She was born June 1, 1937 in Plymouth, Indiana, the daughter of Austin Pittman and Emma (Arentte) Pittman. Matilda was a member of the LaPorte Missionary Church of LaPorte. She enjoyed crafting, sewing, fishing, and gardening. In 1971 in Bremen, Indiana, she married Robert L. Snider who preceded her in death, February of 1997. She is survived by her son, Kenneth A. Snider; two daughters, Patsy (David) Tibbs of La Porte, IN, and Linda (Jim) Armstrong; three grandchildren, Jeff Armstrong, Kevin Armstrong, and Jimmy Armstrong; Matilda was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, and one sister. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Thursday, July 23, 2015, from 4:00 pm, until time of service. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Thursday July 23, 2015 at 7:00 pm with Rev. Carl Galloway officiating. Interment will be private at the Tippy Cemetery.
