Mary Lou Wright June 28, 1931-June 28, 2014 Mary Lou Wright, 83, of Rolling Prairie, Indiana, died Saturday June 28, 2014 at Millers Merry Manor, New Carlisle, IN. She was born June 28, 1931 in La Porte, Indiana, the daughter of Lawrence Bass and Frances (Fara) Bass. Mary worked as a accountant and tax preparer for over 40 years. She was a member of First Christian Church of Rolling Prairie, VFW Woman's Auxillary Post #9423 of Rolling Prairie. She coordinated the first women's billiard and dart leagues in La Porte and Rolling Prairie. She enjoys activities at Swanson Senior Center and was past president of the Tuesday Recreational Club. She was an avid card and bingo player. She is survived by her son, Jess (Marcella) Miller of Rolling Prairie, IN; two daughters, Dawn (Ron) Heider of La Porte, IN, April Harradon of La Porte, IN; two brothers, Peter Oberholtzer of Rolling Prairie, IN, Ronald Oberholtzer of La Porte, IN; sister, Kathleen West of Carmel, IN; eight Grandchildren, Stephanie Clendenen, Greg Miller, Alisha Stoewer, Michelle Stoewer, Justin Miller, Zachary Harradon, Brandi Harradon, Caitlin Miller; three step grandchildren, John McNally, Tim McNally, Christopher McNally; and three great grandchildren, Jayden Allen, Carriana Peals and Zarion Harradon. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; son, Michael Miller; grandson, Jerry Michael Harradon; 2 brothers, William Bass, Walt Oberholtzer, and a sister, Cleo Oberholtzer. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Wednesday, July 2, 2014 from 10:30 am until time of the service. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Wednesday July 2, 2014 at 2:00 pm. Cremation will follow with the burial of ashes in Rolling Prairie Cemetery.
