Mary Sacks

Mrs. Mary H. Sacks, 82, of 2207 Southwest Rd., LaPorte, died Monday, Feb. 2, 2004, at 3:28 p.m. at LaPorte Hospital. She was born May 22, 1921, in LaPorte to Walter and Louise Long Stielow, and had lived all her life in LaPorte. Mrs. Sacks was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, LaPorte. On Aug. 30, 1941, in LaPorte, she married Wilfred H. Sacks, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Doris Thomas Wimmer of Noblesville, IN, and Karen Kim Dutchess of Ruskin, FL; one son, Roger of Saline, MI; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded by her parents. The funeral will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Haverstock Funeral Home, LaPorte, with Rev. David Sickelka officiating. Freinds may call Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be in Patton Cemetery, LaPorte.
