Mrs. Mary M. Padgett , 88, of La Porte, Indiana, died Thursday November 26, 2009 at her home in La Porte. She was born February 8, 1921 in Dugger, Indiana, the daughter of Patrick Mooney and Gail White Mooney. Mary was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in LaPorte. Mary was co-owner of Harold's Garage, she enjoyed camping, painting and doing ceramics. Mary was loved by her family and was very family oriented.. On June 15, 1941, in Sullivan, IN, she married Harold Padgett who preceded her in death January 26, 1992. She is survived by her two sons, Rodger Mary Padgett of LaPorte, IN, Larry Celina Padgett of LaPorte, IN; three daughters, Sheryl Jones of Galesburg, IL, Mary Ronald Broviak of La Porte, IN, Betty Hildebrant of LaPorte, IN, sixteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; one brother, William Mooney of Anderson, IN; four sisters Lenora Phillips of Anderson, IN, Katheryn Walker of Anderson, IN, Phyllis Mollet of Anderson, IN, Barbara Roberts of Anderson, IN; Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, one great grandchild. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends on Monday, November 30, 2009 from 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm and from 9:00 am-9:45 am at Haverstock Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 1, 2009. A Rosary Service will be conducted at 5:30 pm on Monday, November 30, 2009. A funeral mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tuesday December 1, 2009 at 10:00 AM with Rev. David Kime officiating. Interment will follow at the Pine Lake Cemetery, LaPorte, Indiana.
