Mary Marker

Mrs. Mary A. Marker, age 95, of LaPorte, Ind., died 6:25 AM Wednesday, May 7, 2008, at Miller's Merry Manor in Walkerton, Ind. She was born March 2, 1913 in Logansport, Ind. to the late Everet Turnpaugh and the late Vesta Sweetser Turnpaugh. She has lived many years in the LaPorte area. Mrs. Marker was employed by LaPorte Hospital for 18 years and retired in 1981.and was a member of Agape Christian Church. She was also a member of Friendship Club, LaPorte Hospital Retirees. On June 30, 1934 in Logansport, Ind. she parried Frank Marker who preceded in death July 12, 1963. She is survived by her Two Daughters, Mrs. Nancy Pearish of LaPorte, Ind., Mrs. Betty Clarence Beauchamp of La Porte, Ind.; One Step-Daughter Mrs. Doris Charlson of Westville, Ind.; Seventeen grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; many great great grandchildren; Two Sisters, Mrs. Maxine Ellis of Logansport, Ind. and Mrs. Helen Ketchum of Logansport, Ind. She is preceded in death by her parents; Two Daughter, Mrs. Suzanne Schlinging, Carolyn Benke; One Stepdaughter, Dorothy Alexander; Two Step-sons: Franklin Jim, Leonard Marker; Three Sisters, Irene McDougle, Virginia Collar, Phyllis Painter and One Brother, George Turnpaugh. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday, May 11, 2008 and from 9:00 AM Monday until time of the service. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 10:30 AM Monday, May 12, 2008, Rev. Rodney H Nielsen and Rev. Ronald Devenport officiating.
