Mary Ann Luther March 25, 1937-January 21, 2016 Mrs. Mary Ann Luther, 78, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Thursday January 21, 2016 at Indiana University Health La Porte Hospital in La Porte, IN. She was born March 25, 1937 in Effingham, Illinois, the daughter of Homer A. Riley and Geneva (Rentfro) Riley. Mary had worked as a teachers aid at the Door Village Elementary School for 12 years. She enjoyed camping, playing cards and playing table games. She loved having the family over for a good time. On October 17, 1959, in La Porte, IN, she married Larry W. Luther who preceded in death June 3, 2009. She is survived by her three sons, Brett W. (Diane) Luther of La Porte, IN, Scott D. (Gail) Luther of Lakewood, WI, Todd D. (Frieda) Luther of La Porte, IN; three grandchildren, Trevor, Tara, and Shelby; great grandchild, Jase; two brothers, Gerald Riley of La Porte, IN, and Myron Riley of New Carlisle, IN. Mary was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Friday, January 22, 2016, 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm and Saturday, January 23, 2016, 9:30 am - 10:30 am. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Saturday January 23, 2016 at 10:30 am with Rev. Ransom Ebersole officiating.
