Mary F. Lowe, 83, of LaPorte, Indiana, went to rest with the Lord at her home on Tuesday September 28, 2010. She was born May 27, 1927 in Tigarhill, Alabama, the daughter of Willie Reno and Ibery J. Dempsey Reno. Mary had lived in Indiana, since 1950, coming from Alabama. Mary worked for the Portage Twp. Schools for ten years. She was a member of Faith Fellowship Church of God in LaPorte. On March 31, 1945, in Trafford, AL, she married James M. Lowe who survives. She is also survived by her two sons - Eddie Lowe of Michigan City, IN, Dennie Lowe of North Judson, IN; three daughters - Shirley Burchell of Lafayette, IN, Frances Moore of La Porte, IN, Sue Thomason of Cleveland, TN; ten grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; one brother - Willard Reno of Valparaiso, IN; one sister - Vera Morrissroe of Spring Hill, FL. and many nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and two brothers. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. The family will receive friends Thursday, September 30, 2010 from 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm & Friday, October 1, 2010 from 9:00 am, until time of service at the Portage Central Avenue Church of God, 5120 Central Ave., Portage, IN 46368. Services will be held at the Portage Central Avenue Church of God, Friday October 1, 2010 at 11:30 AM with Rev. Jesse Moore officiating. Interment will follow at the Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the Family of Mary F. Lowe. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Mary F.
