Mary Crum

Mrs. Mary Catherine Crum, age 77, of 31869 Chicago Trail, New Carlisle, Ind., died Saturday, November 12, 2005, at Hamilton Communities in New Carlisle, Ind., formerly of Rolling Prairie, IN. She was born April 16, 1928 in Mt. Zion, IL. to the late William Sorrell and the late Josephine Fry Sorrell. She lived in the LaPorte area since 1948 coming from Macon, IL. Mrs. Crum was employed by LeMans Academy for 14 years. She enjoyed flowers, yard work, reading and taking care of her home. She was an avid letter writer and journaled daily. On March 28, 1948 in LaPorte, IN she married Russell Crum who preceded her in death July 15, 2003. She is also preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by Three Daughters, Miss Susan Crum of Indianapolis, Ind., Mrs. Barbara Crum John Borrego of Watsonville, Calif., Mrs. Beverly George Diekhoff of Henrietta, Texas; One Son, Mr. David R. Crum of Rolling Prairie, Ind.; Three Grandsons, Salvador Borrego of Watsonville, CA, Miguel Borrego of Davis, CA, Benjamin Diekhoff of Henrietta, TX; Two Sisters, Mrs. Bette Myers of Decatur, Ill., Mrs. Edith Jane Boyd Jostes of Macon, Ill.; Two Brothers, Mr. Lowell "Gene" Pat Sorrell of Findlay, Ill. and Mr. Clifford D. Linda Sorrell of Mt Zion, Ill. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, November 16, 2005 and 10:00 AM until time of the service Thursday November 17, 2005. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 1:00 PM Thursday, November 17, 2005 , Celebrant Craig B. Malone officiating.
