Mary H. Christ, 90, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2020 at her home.

She was born May 21, 1930 in La Porte, Indiana, the daughter of William and Mildred (Smith) Condon.

On June 18, 1950, in La Porte, she married Robert Christ, who preceded her in death January 29, 2007.

A lifelong resident of the area, Mary was a branch manager and vice president of the La Porte Bank and Trust, where she retired in 1994 after 45 years of service. A member of the First United Methodist Church, Mary volunteered by counting and depositing money every Monday for many years. She was a big Chicago Cubs and Bulls fan and enjoyed reading, shopping and working her crossword puzzles. She loved watching her soaps, especially All My Children. Her greatest joy was her family, particularly those grandchildren.

Mary is survived by her two sons, Robin (Nancy) Christ of La Porte, IN, Kelly( Brook) Christ of La Porte, IN; daughter, Cindy(Michael) Corbett of La Porte, IN; grandchildren, Jake (Kristin) Corsbie of Kenosha, WI, Erin Christ of Seattle, WA, Adam (Judy) Christ, Austin, TX, Chloe Christ, La Porte, IN, Jamie Benson, Minneapolis, MN; great grandchildren, Haley, Taylor, Megan, Logan, Madeline, Benji, Mallorie, Abigail, Emma.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Robert .

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN 46350. The family has selected cremation with a private interment of cremated remains at Patton Cemetery.
