Mary Moore

Mrs. Mary A. Moore, 82, of Lebanon, Missouri, formerly of LaPorte, IN. passed away Wednesday July 7, 2010 at Christian Health Care South in Lebanon, Missouri. She was born August 20, 1927 in LaPorte, Indiana, the daughter of Arthur Tonn and Hazel Neely Tonn. Mary had lived in Missouri for fifteen years. Mary was a homemaker. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of LaPorte. Mary graduated from LaPorte High School. She enjoyed playing golf, doing needlework and especially enjoyed watching sports on TV. On June 29, 1947, in LaPorte, IN, she married James Moore who preceded her in death March 10, 1984. She is survived by her daughter - Tamara Nick Gann of Conway, MO; two grandchildren - Savanna Gann, and Shannon Gann; one brother - Donald Helga Tonn of South Bend, IN; several nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters, Betty Elshire, Loretta Engelbrecht, June Tonn, and one brother, John Harmon. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. There will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held at Patton Cemetery, Tuesday July 13, 2010 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Jo Ellyn Chadwick officiating. Interment will follow at the Patton Cemetery, LaPorte, Indiana.
