Martha Wilson

Mrs. Martha A. Wilson, 96, of 5861 W. Beverly Lane, Glendale, AZ and formerly of Mill Creek, IN., died Wednesday December 15, 2004 at 11:37 p.m. at the Village Oakes Nursing Home. She was born February 6, 1908 in St. Joseph Co., Indiana to Fred and Christine Schmidt Miller and has lived in Arizona for the last four years coming from the Mill Creek area. Mrs. Wilson was a graduated from Manchester College in 1928 and taught elementary school at Sauktown, Oak Grove, Marsh and Crumstown Schools. On May 12, 1934, in South Bend, IN, she married Joe Murphy Wilson who preceded in death May 14, 1982. Also preceding her in death were her parents, one grandchild, one great grandchild, one sister, and one brother. Surviving are one son, Joseph Wilson of North Liberty, IN.; one sister, Mrs. Ellen Garst of Peorzia, AZ.; four grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. The funeral will be Tuesday December 21, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. at Haverstock Funeral Home, with the Rev. Howard Simmons officiating. Friends may call Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and Tues from 8 a.m. until time of the service. Burial will be in the New Carlisle Cemetery, New Carlisle, Indiana.
