Martha Wheatbrook

Mrs. Martha E. Wheatbrook, 72, of Michigan City, Indiana, died 11:00 p.m. Sunday February 15, 2004 at her residence. She was born October 25, 1931, in Chicago, Illinois to Henry and Clara Kelley Farber Sr., and has lived in the area since 1975, coming from Jeffersonville, Indiana. Mrs. Wheatbrook was a sales clerk for K-Mart for 19 years and retired in 1993. On December 1, 1956, in Michigan City, Indiana, she married John Wheatbrook, who preceded in death on June, 21, 2001. Also preceded in death are her parents; one sister, Edna Groller; and three brothers, Henry Farber Jr., Charles Farber, and Walter Farber. Surviving are three sons, Robert Wheatbrook of Michigan City, IN., Alan Becky Wheatbrook of Henryville, IN., and Michael Theresa Wheatbrook of Jeffersonville, IN.; one daughter, Jacalyn Roger Young of English, IN.; and a friend and neighbor Doris Huff of Michigan City, IN. The funeral will be Friday February 20, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Haverstock Funeral Home, LaPorte, with Pastor Jack Cox officiating. Friends may call Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Rolling Prairie Cemetery, Rolling Prairie, Indiana.
