Martensen Ruth

Mrs. Geneva Ruth Martensen, age 80, of La Porte, Ind., died 5:20 PM Sunday, March 30, 2008, at LaPorte Hospital in La Porte, Ind. She was born to the late Sylvan Cox and the late Verna McFarland Cox. She was later adopted by Elmer and Belle Hopkins Borders. She was a member of Salem Chapel United Methodist Church. She was also a member of Swanson Center, Ruth Circle, United Methodist Women. She was the greatest mom in the world. She is survived by her One Daughter, Mrs. Mary Doug Wilson of Mishawaka, Ind.; Three Sons, Mr. Wayne C. Bonnie Martensen of Cassopolis, Mich., Mr. William L. Martensen of La Porte, Ind., Mr. Wendell H. Martensen of La Porte, Ind.; Six Grandchildren, Chad Martensen, Mitch Martensen, Scott Wilson, Erin Wilson, Amanda , Anthony; and Three great-grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Monday, April 7, 2008. A memorial service will be at Salem Chapel United Methodist Church at 11:00 AM Monday, April 7, 2008, Rev. Mark Harris officiating. Interment of ashes will be at Salem Chapel Cemetery in Salem Heights, Ind. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salem Chapel United Methodist Church.
