Mrs. Marshall Ann Franklin, age 69, of Kingsford Heights, Ind., was taken into the arms of Jesus, Saturday, August 30, 2008 at St. Anthony's Hospital in Michigan City, Ind. She was born on November 12, 1938 in Nashville, Tenn., to the late William H. Frazier and Malbel Jenkins Frazier- Davis, who survives. She was united in holy matrimony to her soul mate Theron Franklin, Sr. in Nashville, Tenn. on October 19, 1964 Mother Franklin was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother, who cherished her family and friends. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, and collecting angels. In 1967, Theron & Marshall Franklin moved to Kingsford Heights, Ind. During this time Mother Franklin was employed by American Home Foods. After the closing of American Home Foods she became a homemaker, doing what she loved best, taking care of her husband and children, and many other children in the neighborhood. Mother Franklin dedicated her life to Christ and served him faithfully until her departure. She was baptized in Nashville, Tenn. at Lawrence Street Church of Christ. Mother Franklin served the Lord diligently in several capacities. She was a church mother, co-president of the hospitality board, vice-president of the usher board and a faithful church member. Left to cherish her memories are her husband Mr. Theron Franklin, Sr. of Kingsford Heights, Ind., Mother; Malbel Frazier-Davis of Nashville, Tenn.; Two Daughters, Bobbie Calbert of Michigan City, Ind., Kresser Grays of Michigan City, Ind.; One Son, Theron Franklin, Jr. of Nashville, Tenn.; Seven Grandchildren, Roshea, Jarvis, Tianna, Andrea, Mark, Latrice, Lee'yia; One Sister, Willie Mai Hassell McDougal of Nashville, Tenn.; One God-Daughter Mailaika Beaty of Kingsford Heights, One Aunt ; Ruby Mai Barrett of Nashville, Tenn. and One Uncle; Douglas Simmons of Nashville, Tenn. She is preceded in death by her father; William H. Frazier, one brother and one sister. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM Saturday, September 6, 2008 at the New Jerusalem Church of God in Christ in Kingsford Heights, Ind.. Funeral service will be at New Jerusalem Church of God in Christ at 12:00 PM Saturday, September 6, 2008 , with Rev. Charles McCelos, officiating. Interment will be at Pine Lake Cemetery in LaPorte, Ind. The family wishes to achnowledge all cards, prayers, and kind words of comfort.
