Marjorie Finney

Mrs. Marjorie J. Finney, 84, of Niles, Michigan formerly of LaPorte, IN. passed away Wednesday May 12, 2010 at her home. She was born September 28, 1925 in LaPorte, Indiana, the daughter of Homer McKeehan and Ethel Carpenter McKeehan. She had lived in Niles, Michigan for 2 1/2 years coming from the LaPorte, IN. area. Marjorie worked for Howmet Corp for ten years, retiring in 1985. She graduated from Rolling Prairie High School Class of 1944. She loved bowling, fishing and was an avid reader. On March 2, 1945, in South Bend, IN, she married Everett Finney who preceded her in death on February 11, 1993. She is survived by her two daughters - Linda VanDewalle of Mishawaka, IN, Evelyn Rabey of Knox, IN; two sons - Everett Carol L. Finney of South Bend, IN, Roger Patty Finney of Niles, MI; twelve grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; two sisters - Delores Eskridge of La Porte, IN, Arlene Cavinder of La Porte, IN. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, husband one son, two brothers and two sisters. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Saturday, May 15, 2010 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm. CST. No services will be held. Cremation will take place. Burial of ashes will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of donor's choice.
