Marilyn Owens

Mrs. Marilyn B. Clougher Owens, 74, of 1708 Country Lane Dr., LaPorte, died Friday, March 25, 2005, at 11 a.m. at her home. She was born March 13, 1931, in Santa Monica, Calif., to Lester and Kathleen Kresgy Henning, and had lived most of her life in the LaPorte area. Mrs. Owens was a homemaker. She attended Jehovah?s Witnesses LaPorte Kingdom Hall. On Aug. 6 1949, she married Richard A. Clougher, who died Dec. 10, 1996. On April 16, 1983, she married Robert T. Owens, who survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Lori Michael Dudeck of Rolling Prairie; four sons, Jeffery A. Byron Sawyer, David, John, and Stephen Ronda, all of LaPorte; nine grandchildren, Shawna, Allison, Jason, Kyle and Courtney Clougher, Danielle Hill, Amanda Lower and Nicole and Katlyn Dudeck; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. A graveside service will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. LaPorte County time at Sacred Heart Cemetery, South Bend, with Rev. Joseph Bennett officiating. There will be no visitation. Cremation will take place. Haverstock Funeral Home, LaPorte, is in charge of arrangements.
