Marilee McGuire March 8, 1927-July 30, 2013 Mrs. Marilee (Boyce) McGuire, 86, of Rolling Prairie, Indiana, died Tuesday July 30, 2013 at Settlers House in La Porte, IN. She was born March 8, 1927 in La Porte, Indiana, the daughter of Guy Boyce and Henrietta (Schultz) Boyce. For 27 years, Marilee and her husband William had owned the Double Mac Drive-In in Rolling Prairie. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post #9423 of Rolling Prairie. Marilee was an avid Cubs fan, she loved to crochet and read. She especially loved being with her children and grandchildren. On October 4, 1947, in LaPorte, IN, she married William C. McGuire who preceded her in death January 27, 2004. She is survived by her daughter - Carol (Wayne) Gerhardt of Rolling Prairie, IN; 2 sons - Mike McGuire of Rolling Prairie, IN, Dan (Susan) McGuire of New Buffalo, MI; eleven grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; brother - Bob (Karen) Boyce of Martinsville, IN; 2 sisters - Gerri Fisher of La Porte, IN, and Nadine (Art) Hall of Bellview, WA. Marilee was preceded in death by her parents, husband and 2 sisters, Lois Levenhagen and Noreen Palmer. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Thursday, August 1, 2013 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm and at the Trinity Lutheran Church on Friday, August 2, 2013 from 9:00 am, until time of service. A life celebration will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Friday August 2, 2013 at 10:00 am with Dr. Joseph Loftis, officiating.
