Marietta Buck December 10, 1943-April 21, 2018 Marietta Buck, 74, of Valparaiso, Indiana, formerly of La Porte, passed away Saturday April 21, 2018 at Porter Regional Hospital in Valparaiso, IN. She was born December 10, 1943 in Corbin, Kentucky, the daughter of Raymond Johnson and Nellie (Harris) Johnson. Marietta lived in northwest Indiana most of her life. She was a member of the I Street Church of Christ and attended the Indiana School for the Deaf. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and sewing on plastic canvases. She is survived by her two sons, Jack (Debbie) Strelesky of Michigan City, IN, Frank (Tyra) Strelesky of La Porte, IN; daughter, Janet (Dave) Irk of La Porte, IN; thirteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; four brothers, Bob (Garnet) Johnson of Topeka, IN, Roland (Barbara) Johnson of Hebron, IN, Doug (Marsha) Johnson of Crown Point, IN, Donald (Linda) Johnson of Valparaiso, IN; and a sister, Patty (Steve) Bryant of La Porte, IN. Marietta was preceded in death by her Parents; daughter, Marilyn Keehn; brother, Harold Johnson; and 2 husbands John E. Strelesky, and Floyd D. Buck. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Friday, April 27, 2018, 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm and Saturday, April 28, 2018, 12:00 pm until time of the service. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Saturday April 28, 2018 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Dennis Smith officiating.
