Marietta Borntrager

Mrs. Marietta Borntrager, 78, of La Porte, Indiana, died Thursday May 14, 2009 at her home. She was born May 2, 1931 in LaPorte, Indiana, the daughter of Louis Angeledes and Elizabeth Ward Angeledes, living in the LaPorte area, most of her life; she also had lived in Las Vegas, Nevada. Marietta worked as a practical nurse for Fountainview Terrace Nursing Home, Hamilton Grove, Pine Lake Hospital and the Holy Family Hospital. She was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church. Marietta loved doing crossword puzzles and picture puzzles. In 1951, in Rensselaer, IN., she married Max E. Borntrager who preceded her in death on October 13, 2007. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Davis of Leander, TX; sons, James Borntrager of LaPorte, IN, Michael E. Borntrager of Las Vegas, NV, Ronald Horner of Galien, MI; six grandchildren, James Borntrager, Seth Olshan, Ryan Olshan, Robert J. Borntrager, John Davis, David Davis and three great- grandchildren. Marietta was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one sister, Ruth Brazier; three brothers, William, Lambert and Roy Angeledes. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Sunday, May 17, 2009 from 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm & Monday, May 18, 2009 from 1:00 pm, until time of service. Services will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Monday May 18, 2009 at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at the Rolling Prairie Cemetery, Rolling Prairie, Indiana.
