Marie Werner

Mrs. Marie Ida Werner, age 91, of LaPorte, Ind., died Wednesday, May 21, 2008, at LaPorte Hospital in La Porte, Ind. She was born December 1, 1916 in La Porte, Ind. to the late Herman Bent and the late Ida Rosenbaum Bent. Mrs. Werner was a Homemaker and was a member of Tracy Immanuel Lutheran Church. She was also a member of Ladies Aid from Tracy Church. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, and bowling. On February of 1936 in Hamlet, Ind. in the Tracy Immanuel Lutheran Church she married Arnold H. Werner who preceded in death September 17, 1977. She is survived by her Two Daughters, Mrs. Marmery Fred Haack of Otis, Ind., Mrs. Marilynn Jim Ames of Michigan City, Ind.; Five Sons, Mr. Malcolm Kay Werner of Union Mills, Ind., Mr. Marshall Werner of Warsaw, Ind., Mr. Meredith Carol Werner of Hindsdale, Ill., Mr. Mark C. Werner of Marion, Ind., Mr. Martin A. Mary Werner of La Porte, Ind.; and Twenty grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Two Sons, Mr. Marvin Werner, Mr. Melvin Werner; Three Sisters and One Brother. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM Friday, May 23, 2008 and from 9:00 AM until time of the service at Tracy Immanuel Lutheran Church. Funeral service will be at Tracy Immanuel Lutheran Church at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 24, 2008, Rev. Richard Ungrodt officiating. Interment will be at Tracy Cemetery in Hamlet, Ind.
