Marian L. Rheinholtz, 97, of LaPorte, Indiana, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Brentwood Assisted Living in La Porte, IN.

She was born December 7, 1924 in Knox, Indiana, the daughter of Michael Rosenbaum and Elma (Good) Rosenbaum.

Marian was a member of the Fish Lake American Legion as well as a member of the Salem Chapel United Methodist Church. She was a resident of La Porte for most of her life and enjoyed gardening, playing cards, especially euchre, but most of all she was a people person and truly enjoyed just visiting with people.

On June 1, 2001, in La Porte, she married Harry Rheinholtz who preceded her in death on August 14, 2011.

Marian is survived by her son, David (Dorthea) Decker of LaPorte, IN; Daughter, Robin Kay (Robert) Kay of Peoria, IL; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Douglas Decker and brother, Mickey Rosenbaum.

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN.  The family will receive friends Monday, June 20, 2022, 5:00 pm at Salem Chapel United Methodist Church and a life celebration will follow at 5:30 pm with Pastor Kay Bond officiating.  There will be a graveside service at 10:00am, Saturday, July 9, 2022 at Salem Heights Cemetery, and an inurnment for both Marian and her son Douglass will follow.
