Marian Dubois

Marian Jean Shapen DuBois, age 76, of Rolling Prairie, IN, died Friday, September 21, 2007, at Residence in Rolling Prairie, IN,. She was born July 9, 1931, in Chicago, IL, to the late Cornelius Shapen and the late Jeanette VanBeek Shapen. Also preceded her in death was her husband, Mr. Edward B. DuBois, and her Brother, Mr. Robert Shapen. On November 25, 1950 in Chicago, IL, she was married to Edward B. DuBois, who preceded on January 18, 2006. Mrs. DuBois was a Homemaker, and also worked for J.C.Penny Co. for 15 years, and was a member of St. John Kanty Catholic Church. She was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society, Founding Parishioner of the St. Mary Catholic Church in Park Forest, IL. She liked working with ceramics. She is also survived by her Two Daughters, Mrs. Paula Charles Zmuda of Park Forest, IL, Mrs. Christine Steven Sendgikoski of Park Forest, IL, Two Sons, Mr Peter Mary DuBois of Park Forest, IL, Mr Philip Connie DuBois of Lisle, IL, One Sister, Mrs. Janet Ed Bailey of Birmingham, Ala. Several Nieces and Nephews. Eleven grandchildren, Two great-grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, September 25, 2007, and from 9:00AM to 10:00AM Wednesday September 26, 2007. Funeral service will be at St. John Kanty Catholic Church at 10:30 AM Wednesday, September 26, 2007 , with Rev. Michael Heimer officiating. Interment will be at St. John Kanty Cemetery in Rolling Prairie, IN. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
