Maria A. Panova December 26, 1931-June 2, 2016 Maria A. Panova, 84, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, June 2, 2016. She was born December 26, 1931 in Anna, Russia, the daughter of Andrey Panov and Anna Panova. Maria enjoyed being around her grandchildren. Her hobbies included but were not limited to knitting, cooking, making pillows. She also enjoyed reading, mushroom hunting and sharing her life experiences, especially of the 10 years spent in Germany with her husband. She is also survived by her daughter, Liliana (Don Estep) Ake; five grandchildren, Olga (Max) Rose, Yana Alekseeva, Christine Ake, Samantha Ake, Alexander Ake; and 2 great granddaughters. Maria was preceded in death by her husband, Vladimir Korovyakov, son, Vyacheslav Korovyakov, 3 sisters, 1 brother and her son-in-law, Jeff Ake. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN where the family will receive friends Thursday, June 9, 2016, 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Thursday June 9, 2016 at 4:00 pm with Rev. Carl Galloway officiating. Interment will follow at the Pine Lake Cemetery.
