Mrs. Margie M. Childress, 77 of 1862 W. 500 South LaPorte, Indiana died Wednesday December 15, 2004 at 10:30a.m. At her residence. She was born November 26, 1927 in Michigan City, Indiana to Frank and Florence Gilpin Forney, who has proceeded. Also preceded in death was a son, William Childress Jr. Mrs. Childress has lived all her life in the LaPorte area. On January 14, 1945 in Michigan City, Indiana she was married to William Childress, who survives. Mrs. Childress was a Homemaker, She was a member of the First Christian Church of Rolling Prairie, Also a member of the Rolling Prairie Lion?s Club, Michigan City Women of the Moose, Charter Pres. And founder of Rolling Stones Home Economic Club, member of God?s Golden Warriors-Rolling Prairie, Christian Women?s Fellowship-Rolling Prairie Christian Church, Community Center of Rolling Prairie. Mrs. Childress was very gifted in Quilt making. Surviving are two son?s, Mr. Bradley M. Denah Childress of Rolling Prairie, IN, Mr. Robert M. Diane Childress of LaPorte, IN, a sister, Mrs. Cybil Bross of Chesterton, IN, a brother, Mr. Frank Janice Forney of Virginia Beach, VA, and a daughter-in-law, Carol Childress of Bolingbrook, IL. Mrs. Childress has 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. The Funeral will be Saturday December 18, 2004 at Haverstock Funeral Home Inc. at 10:00a.m. With Bro. Ransom Ebersole officiating. Friends may call on Friday December 17, 2004 from 4:00 to 8:00p.m. At Haverstock Funeral Home, and from 8:00a.m. Saturday until time of service. Burial will be in Rolling Prairie Cemetery, Rolling Prairie, IN. A Lion?s Club service will be conducted by the Lion?s Club of Rolling Prairie, IN at 7:00p.m. On Friday December 17, 2004 at Haverstock Funeral Home Inc. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Rolling Prairie Lion?s Club, and First Christian Church of Rolling Prairie. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Margie M.
