Margaret Elkins

Mrs. Elkins was a homemaker. She was a member of the Rolling Prairie Christian Church and the VFW Auxillary Post # 9423 of Rolling Prairie, IN. On October 29, 1936 in LaPorte, IN., to Willis W. Elkins who preceded in death September 28, 1988. Also preceded in death are her parents; one grandson Chad Elkins; three sisters and three brothers. Surviving are three daughters, Yvonne Stanley Dopieralski of New Carlisle, IN., Betty Schimmel of Jeffersonville, IN., Tina Bob Paul of New Carlisle, IN.; two sons, Jeff Bobette Elkins of Rolling Prairie, IN., Ferris Elkins of Hudson Lake, IN.; eighteen grandchildren; thirty two great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren and one sister, Shirley Griffin of LaPorte, IN. The funeral will be Thursday October 13, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. at Haverstock Funeral Home, LaPorte, with Rev. David Hill officiating. Friends may call Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until time of the service. Burial will be in Rolling Prairie Cemetery, Rolling Prairie, IN.
