Mrs. Margaret I. Barger Cooley, age 72, of La Porte, IN., died Sunday, September 11, 2005, at LaPorte Hospital in La Porte, IN. She was born January 18, 1933, in Harriman, TN, to Fred Barger and Fannie Jane Shubert Barger, who has preceded. Also preceded in death arte three brothers, James R. Barger, Floyd Barger, Earnest Barger, one sister, Stella Mae Leffew. Mrs. Cooley has lived in the LaPorte area since 1950, coming from Harriman, TN. On June 10, 1950 in Harriman, TN, she was married to Walter Cooley, who survives. Mrs. Cooley was a Homemaker. Mrs. Cooley was employed by Homemaker and was a member of Emory Heights Baptist Church. She was also a member of She loved quilting, sewing, cooking and flowers. She also loved her grandchildren and family. surviving is her husband Mr. Walter Cooley, of LaPorte, IN, Three Daughters, Pansy "Penny" Norleen Cooley of La Porte, IN, Beverly "Faye" Goodman of La Porte, IN, Mrs. Sherry "Yogi" Ellen Yagoda of La Porte, IN, One Son, Mr. Mark Ellis Cooley of Kingsford Heights, IN. Mrs. Cooley has Eight grandchildren, One great-grandchild. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN, where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, September 14, 2005, and from 9:00 AM Thursday, September 15, 2005 until time of service. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Thursday, September 15, 2005 , with Rev. Jeffrey A. Hines officiating. Interment will be at Patton Cemetery in LaPorte, IN.
