Lynn Vales

Mrs. Lynn Vales, age 55, of Hamlet, Ind., died 10:50 AM Saturday, December 30, 2006, at LaPorte Hospital in La Porte, Ind. She was born September 19, 1951 in Gary, Indiana to the late Richard Van Diver and the late Emily Dunsworth Van Diver. Mrs. Vales was employed by Sprague Industries for 10 years as a parts buyer. She also worked for the Westville Correctional Center for one year. On May 3, 1969 in Evanston, Ill. he married Hugh M. Vales who survives. She is also survived by One Daughter, Ms. Stacey K. Vales of La Porte, Ind.; Two Sons, Mr. Benjamin C. Jennifer Vales of Mill Creek, Ind., Mr. James R. Vales of Westville, Ind.; and Nine Brothers and Sisters. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM Tuesday, January 2, 2007 and from 10:00 AM until time of the service. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 1:00 PM Wednesday, January 3, 2007, Rev. Matthew Kiecker officiating. Cremation will follow.
