Lynn K. Michaels August 2, 1953-February 14, 2015 Mrs. Lynn K. Michaels, 61, of La Porte, Indiana, died Saturday February 14, 2015 at Indiana University Health La Porte Hospital in La Porte, IN. She was born August 2, 1953 in La Porte, Indiana, the daughter of Gerald Schoof and Florence (Johnson) Schoof. Lynn worked as a nurse for The Arbor's in Michigan City, IN., and was a nurse for 30 years, serving many families. She was a member of American Legion Post #83, and Falcon's. She loved to play darts, and loved animals. Lynn especially loved her family and grandchildren. On September 22, 1993, in LaPorte, IN, she married Michael Michaels who survives. She is also survived by her mother, Florence Schoof of La Porte, IN; son, Dan (Loretta) Sekula of Union Mills, IN; daughter, Rebecca Wolfenbarger of La Porte, IN; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; brother, Gary (Margaret) Schoof of La Porte, IN, and a sister, Dottie (Philip) Hula of La Porte, IN. Lynn was preceded in death by her father. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN Cremation will take place.
