Lula Ryans

Lula B. Ryans December 10, 1935-December 14, 2016 Mrs. Lula B. Ryans, 81, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away Wednesday December 14, 2016 at the home of her daughter in South Bend, IN. She was born December 10, 1935 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, the daughter of Tobe Taylor and Clara Bell (Harben) Taylor. She was a member of the Pentacostal Church of God, Alabama. Lula loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. On December 7, 1949, in Lepanto, AR, she married J.C. Ryans who preceded her in death July 1, 2009. She is survived by her son, Dennis Ryans; two daughters, Gail Elder, Melissa Kinsey; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; four brothers, Jerry (Euken) Taylor, Larry (Judy) Taylor, Kenneth Taylor, and Lonnie Taylor. Lula was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, David Ryans, daughter, Angela Crockett, and several brothers and sisters. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Tuesday, December 20, 2016, from 11:00 am, until time of service. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Tuesday December 20, 2016 at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at the Rolling Prairie Cemetery, Rolling Prairie, Indiana.
