Lucy Zarantonello

Lucy M. Zarantonello July 30, 1923-January 23, 2016 Mrs. Lucy M. Zarantonello , 92, of LaPorte, Indiana, passed away Saturday January 23, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was born to Nicola and Frances (nee Pagano) Lisi on July 30, 1923 in Berrien Springs, Michigan at her grandparents apple orchard. Lucy was employed by Audio Industries and retired at age 82 from Swiss Control. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Michigan City. She enjoyed crocheting and ceramics. Above all, she loved cooking and baking for her family and friends. Lucy was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many who will be truly missed by all whose lives she touched. On April 19, 1947 in Michigan City, IN, she married George Zarantonello who preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter, Sylvia (late Charles) Fee; eight grandchildren, Nicholas (Janel) Zarantonello, Kristy (Michael R. Pruden) Zarantonello, Amanda (John) Penziol, Tanya (Thane) Fee-Bouthot, Tony (Peggy) Zarantonello, Brandon Jones, Carla (Randy Liverman) Fee and Tina Fee; fifteen great grandchildren, Austin, Alexia, Isaiah, Olivia, Dominic, Mason, Britney, Colton, Taleah, Kai, Ava, Addison, Aiden, Brooklin and Luci; good friend and caregiver, Rondi (Michael) Jones; daughter-in-law, Mary Zarantonello; sister in law, Angie Jasch; brother in law, Pete (Lupe) Zarantonello and many nieces and nephews. Lucy was preceded in death by her son, Nicholas Zarantonello, special cousins, Lena Albano and Dominic Pagano. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Haverstock Funeral Home 602 Maple Avenue LaPorte, IN. Interment to follow at St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery, Michigan City, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 from 4:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home.
