Lucille Werner

Mrs. Lucille H. Werner, 92, of 1111 Longwood Dr., LaPorte, IN., died Saturday, March 13, 2004, at 5:15 a.m. at the LaPorte Hospital. She was born November 17, 1911 in Peotone, IL., to William and Pauline Scheer Wolla and has lived in LaPorte since 1988 coming from Union Mills. IN. On January 25, 1936, in LaPorte, IN. she married LeRoy Werner who preceded in death August of 1973. She is also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Marvin Wolla. Surviving are three daughters, Carole R. Werner and Joanna P. Werner both of LaPorte, and Kathryn L. Smit of Milwaukie, OR.; one granddaughter Adrienne Smit of Milwaukie, OR; one grandson Mark Rhonda Smit of Midland MI.; one great granddaughter Lauren Smit of Midland MI.; and one sister Mrs. Florence Pieplow of LaPorte, IN. The funeral will be Wed. March 17, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at the Haverstock Funeral Home, LaPorte, with Rev. Victor M. Frohne officiating. Friends may call Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until time of the service. Burial will be in the Union Mills Cemetery.
