Lucille Robinson

Lucille S. Robinson December 25, 1919-December 26, 2009 Mrs. Lucille S. Robinson, 90, of La Porte, formerly of New Carlisle, Indiana, died Saturday December 26, 2009 at La Porte Hospital. She was born December 25, 1919 in LaPorte, Indiana, the daughter of Charles L. Ames and Anna Mitchell Ames. Lucille was a homemaker and was an owner and operator of a plant nursery. She was a member of Prairie Gardens Christian Fellowship Church. Her favorite pass time was her flower garden where she could always be found. She prided herself on her iris and day lilies, and won numerous awards at flower shows. On March 8, 1941, in Mill Creek, IN, she married Oscar Robinson who preceded in death July 28, 1996. She is survived by her two daughters Brenda S. Rhodes of La Porte, IN, Carol Jessie Cook of La Porte, IN; one son Gale L. Robinson of Boise, ID; six grandchildren Craig Wilson, Scott Wilson, Nikki Williams, Kristin Earwood, Cyndi Blakley, Angie Cook; and thirteen great grandchildren. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and two brothers. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Monday, December 28, 2009 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm & Tuesday, December 29, 2009 from 1:00 pm until time of the service. Services will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Tuesday December 29, 2009 at 2:00 PM with Deacon Dan Davis officiating. Interment will follow at the Olive Chapel Cemetery, New Carlisle, IN.
