Mrs. Lucille G. Pierce, 80 of 1282 S. Hwy. 39 LaPorte, Indiana died Thursday November 11, 2004 at LaPorte Hospital in LaPorte, IN. She was born September 20, 1924 in LaCrosse, Indiana, to Paul and Lillian Keehn Stolte who has proceeded. Mrs. Pierce lived all her life in the LaPorte area. On October 23, 1943 in LaPorte, IN she was married to Robert Pierce, who survives. Mrs. Pierce worked for Dr. A. A. Forszt as a Receptionist for 31 years, retiring in 1991. Mrs. Pierce was a member of the Salem United Church of Christ of Wanatah, IN. She collected butterfly ornaments, and memorabilia, etc. She was a Den Mother in Boy scouting at the Bethany Lutheran church, she kept scores and statistics for little pony and colt leagues of LaPorte, she helped found the first little league in LaPorte, coming from Door Village and Grand Ave. residents. Also preceded in death are one sister, Ethel Mae Stolte, one brother, Mr. Ralph Stolte, and a daughter in-law, Mary Pierce. Surviving are three sons, Mr. Larry Becky Pierce of Kingsford Heights, IN Mr. Terry Rose Pierce of Kearney MO, Mr. Wayne Beth Pierce of Lakeland, FL, a brother, Mr. Richard Mary Stolte of Albion, IN, a sister, Mrs. Irene Wiley Gainus of Mill Spring, NC, Mrs. Pierce has eleven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, seven step-great grandchildren. The Funeral will be on Monday November 15, 2004 at Haverstock Funeral Home at 10:30a.m. With Rev. Craig Forwalter officiating. Friends may call Sunday November 14, 2004 from 5:00 to 8:00p.m. And 8:00a.m. Monday until time of service. Burial will be in Patton Cemetery, LaPorte, IN.
