Louise Miller

Mrs. Louise M. Miller, age 94, of 31869 Chicago Trail, New Carlisle, Ind., died Thursday, January 19, 2006, at Pilgrim Manor in Plymouth, Ind. She was born January 23, 1911 in Logansport, IN. to the late Clarence Hard and the late Eliza Windstead Hard. She has lived in the LaPorte area since 1931 coming from Logansport, IN. Mrs. Miller was a Homemaker. She was an Auxiliary member of American Legion of LaPorte, IN. She was a very good artist with and an avid rock collector. On September 19, 1931 in South Bend, IN. she married Alvin L. Miller who preceded her in death on January 14, 1991. She is survived by her Seven grandchildren, Karen Ehlebracht of Knoxville, TN, Martha Varga of South Bend, IN., Alvin L. Miller of South Bend, IN., Pamela Sue Moody of Rocksburg, NY, Christine Sean Astine of California, Carrington Gaylord of California, Shannon Paul Hay of LaPorte, IN.; Thirteen great-grandchildren; and Two great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her Parents, Two Daughters, Patsy Granning, Nancy L. Harrell; Three Sons, Lawrence W. Miller, Steve Miller, Gene Miller; and One Sister, Lois Faler. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday, January 23, 2006. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 10:00 AM Tuesday, January 24, 2006, Rev. Rick Jones officiating. Interment will be at Pine Lake Cemetery in LaPorte, Ind.
