Louis Bromley June 4, 1944-November 20, 2015 Louis Bromley, 71, of Westville, Indiana, passed away Friday November 20, 2015 at his home in Westville, IN. He was born June 4, 1944 in Jackson, Michigan, the son of Edward Bromley and Florence (Nye) Bromley. Louis was a veteran of the US Army, he was a member of the Union Mills American Legion Post #295, and a D.A.V. life time member, and member of the Danny Bruce Chapter, Michigan City, IN He enjoyed fishing, camping, and liked to help with Christmas charity baskets with the teamsters union. Louis enjoyed being "Mr. Fix-it" and being with his family. On April 10, 1981, in Watseka, IL, he married Deva (Swaite) Bromley who survives. He is also survived by his three sons, Sean E. Bromley of CA, Joseph (Anita) Bromley of WI, David (Renee) Bromley of Westville, IN; daughter, Alexis (Joshua) Ayres of Westville, IN; five grandchildren, David R. Bromley, Jr., Bryce Nicole Bromley, Logan Bromley, Paige Bromley, Brittany Bromley; three brothers, Neil Bromley of Tampa, FL, David Bromley of Gainsville, GA, Rudi Bromley of GA; four sisters, Jackie Bromley of Ukiah, CA, Mattie Kay Thomas of Gainsville, GA, Joyce Roy of Portland, OR, Lea (Woody) Dowler of Lochbuie, CO. Louis was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Roger Bromley. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN where the family will receive friends Tuesday, November 24, 2015, from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm and Wednesday, November 25, 2015, from 10:00 am, until time of service. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Wednesday November 25, 2015 at 11:00 am with Pastor Bill Barnes officiating. Cremation will take place. A Honor Military Service will be conducted by the Union Mills American Legion Post #295, after the service.
