Louie A. Wolff May 17, 1918-July 29, 2010 Mr. Louie A. Wolff, 92, of Union Mills, Indiana, passed away Thursday July 29, 2010 at his home in Union Mills. He was born May 17, 1918 in Walkerton, Indiana, the son of Charles Wolff and Lucy Mae Brown Wolff. Louie was a life-time farmer and founder of Wolff Construction. He was past president of the Hanna Lion's Club; past director of LaPorte Co. Farm Bureau Co-Op. Louie was an innovative inventor. He designed and built the first known eight bottom plow. On February 23, 1940, in Walkerton, IN, he married Eva "Marjorie" Clingenpeel Wolff who proceeded him in death December 11, 2009. He is survived by his two sons - Donald "Bub" Dianne Wolff of Union Mills, IN, Dean Fran Wolff of Hanna, IN; three daughters - Donna Bill Eaton of Union Mills, IN, Carol Dave Howell of Union Mills, IN, Marjorie "Honey" Robert Baske of Hanna, IN; eleven grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren, and one brother - Eugene Wolff of LaPorte, IN. He is also survived by his loving and caring caregiver, Sukhi and Donna Beecher his nurse. Louie was preceded in death by his parents, wife, three brothers, Devon Wolff, Marion Wolff, HarryWolff, and two sisters, Lucy Bromley, Irma Lindsley. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN. A Private Graveside Service was held on Saturday July 31, 2010 at the Union Mills Cemetery with David Howell, officiating.
