Lotus Snow

Lotus V. "Pat" Snow, age 87, of LaPorte, Ind., died Sunday, September 7, 2008, at Golden Living Fountainview Terrace in La Porte, Ind. She was born on June 7, 1921 in LaPorte, Ind. to late Ernest Smith and the late Helen Zarr Smith. Mrs. Snow was an owner /operator of her own beauty shop for 8 years in Deerfield Beach, Fla., she was a beautician for 30 years. She also owned a catering service. She was a care-giver to many family and friends. She was a loving and giving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was married to Forrest Koontz, who died in the World War II, married Chuck Bowers, who has preceded. On July 6, 1968 in Florida, she married William Snow, who preceded, March of 2005. She is survived by her; Four Daughters, Mrs. Sandra Claude Ames of Union Mills, Ind., Sheila Maury Hopkins of Florida Shawn Snow of Florida, Stephanie Snow of Georgia; Two Sons, Pete Snow of Utah, Tim Snow of Georgia; Fourteen Grandchildren, Several Great-grandchildren; Two Brothers, Gene Smith of South Bend, Ind., Charles Smith of Florida; several Nieces and Nephews. Best Friends; Mary, Mendelowitz, Ernie Norma Simon and Joe Gladis Brison. She is preceded in death by her parents; Husbands, Forrest Koontz, Chuck Bowers and William Snow; Son, Robert Charles Bowers; Two Brothers, Bob Smith, Don Smith; Three Sisters, Odetta Kissinger, Dorothy McGriff, Marine Ivy and One Grandson, James Anthony Ames. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM Saturday, September 13, 2008. A Memorial Service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 13, 2008, with Bishop Dwight Ames, officiating. Cremation will take place.
