Lotus Griffin

Mrs. Lotus J. Griffin, age 63, of La Porte, Ind., died 10:50 AM Monday, November 20, 2006, at LaPorte Hospital in LaPorte, Ind. She was born August 12, 1943 in LaPorte, Ind. to the late Charles Dickson and the late Valda Honold Dickson. She has lived in the LaPorte area all of her life. Mrs. Griffin was a homemaker. She loved arts and crafts, baking cookies for the holidays and visiting with "all" of her family. On June 19, 1965 in LaPorte, Ind. she married James Griffin, who survives. She is also survived by One Daughter, Mrs. Kim Robert McFrederick of Kingsford Heights, Ind.; Two Sons, Mr. Kenneth Sheryl Hyde of Kingsford Heights, Ind., Mr. Jason Griffin of La Porte, Ind.; Five grandchildren, Robert J. McFrederick, David McFrederick, Shawn McFrederick, Joseph Johnson, Matthew Griffin; Four Sisters, Mrs. Toma Edwards of La Porte, Ind., Mrs. Jackie Metcalf of La Porte, Ind., Mrs. Beverly Keene of Westville, Ind., Mrs. Charmaine Smith of Florida; Two Brothers, Mr. Duke Dickson of La Porte, Ind., Mr. Kenny Dickson of La Porte, Ind. She is preceded in death by her Parents, Four Brothers, and Two Sisters. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 1:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, November 24, 2006 and 9:00 AM Saturday until time of the service. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 25, 2006, Rev. Dan McDonald officiating. Interment of ashes will be at Salem Cemetery in LaPorte, Ind.
