Lorn Brent Glassman, 51, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Thursday July 27, 2023, at home, surrounded by family.

He was born June 29, 1972, in La Porte, Indiana, the son of Lawrence Glassman and Bonita Borough.

A lifelong resident of the area, Brent graduated from New Prairie High School, class of 1990. He went to work as a station mechanic for Nipsco, where he was a member of the Local 12775 Steel Workers Union. Brent was a very sociable guy and enjoyed grilling and having their friends over for parties.  His passion over the years was watching his son Jakob race dirt bikes so he created a dirt bike trail on their property. They even traveled across the country for races, having great adventures along the way. Brent's family and friends were his life and he will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his parents; his son, Jakob (Kaitlyn) Glassman of La Porte, IN; two brothers, Brian Glassman of Niles, MI, Brad Glassman of La Porte, IN; two bonus sons, Anthony Lesniak of La Porte, IN, Austin Lesniak of La Porte, IN; grandchild and best friend, Jansyn Glassman and nephew, Stevie (Samantha) Hensley of La Porte.

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN where the family will receive friends for a viewing Monday, July 31, 2023 from 3 PM until 6 PM.  Cremation will take place.
